HSAW manufacturing process
Advantages
Diameter Advantage: large-diameter steel pipe can be manufactured, and now spiral steel pipe over 3 meters can be manufactured;
Price advantage: Compared with seamless steel pipe and LSAW steel pipe, HSAW steel pipe is cheaper;
Disadvantages
Strength: Spiral welds are a weak point for pipe strength, especially in high-pressure applications.
Applications: For some specific high-pressure, high-temperature, or applications requiring extremely high strength, seamless or LSAW steel pipe may be a superior choice.
